Yes I did complete two paintings in one day...

Amazing what I can accomplish when I'm bored!

Anyway...this is a contest entry for *AutumnCountry It was inspired by one of the poems Bound [link] (also listed below but with improper spacing) and fits into the Djinn realm. If you have no idea what Autumn Country is all about shame on you!

Anyway...originally when i read the poem I thought of this and sketched her out intending it to be an oil painting. once on the canvas this is how she wished to be painted. I never argue, I'm just the artist.

Bound

The Dream lasts forever;
impression of golden twilight,
awareness of reality, just beyond her reach,
the panic that comes before waking.

For 3000 years.

Forever.

What came before has faded to less than memory.

The dream ends;
the kindness of an old man,
the realization that it had not been a dream.

She is bound by what she is.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i <3 it!!!!! so good. love the pose. the expression. the colors!!!! i have a bad habit of covering the entire canvas w/ paint ;.; i almost never leave any white. i need to try it sometime!
